The CMOR team recently attended ESTRO 2019 in Milan, Italy, where several of the members presented their findings to the research community. Representing the group were Kine Bakke and Sebastian Meltzer.
Sebastian presented a talk entitled “Gender associated differences in outcome after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer”, as well as co-chairing the “Circulating biomarkers for patient stratification and treatment monitoring” session.
Kine gave her presentation entitled “Tumour blood perfusion from baseline contrast-based MRI predicts radiation outcome in rectal cancer”, where she outlined the link between the flow of blood through a tumour and the success of the treatment given to a patient.
Congratulations to both Sebastian and Kine on their successful presentations!
